Hello! I am originally from Olathe, Kan., which is a suburb just west of Kansas City. I graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in May 2021. I completed my Bachelor of Journalism with an emphasis in Convergence-Emerging Media. I also received a certificate in Multicultural Studies.

Though the Midwest is home to me, I have lived in six states within the past 11 years. Moving has been one of the biggest positives in my life. I have been fortunate to meet people of all different lifestyles.

In 2020, I interned on a small island in Wisconsin called Washington Island. The Island was home to roughly 230 full-time residents and a couple hundred additional summer residents. I worked for the Washington Island Observer. I found real-life stories island residents in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. I covered news for the weekly publication, and I was the only reporting intern for the summer.

Some of other my journalistic passions are sports photography. I love the rush of a game, and I love finding stories beyond the action. I previously interned with the Kansas City T-Bones (Monarchs now) baseball team in 2019. I was able to photograph staff, the game, and the fans. I wrote features for social media, and I assisted with game coverage as well. One of my favorite stories I found was about a war veteran who attended the games to help recover from PTSD.

I am proficient in the Adobe Suite, Canva, and SEO strategies. I have a basic knowledge of coding with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I am also a certified FAA Drone Pilot.
